Does anyone know at what RPM the governer kicks in at on a stock 6030 p pump? I'm not familiar with governers or governer weights and all that stuff. I was told that you can idle up to 3k rpms with no load, but once it takes a load it will be governed down to a lower rpm. Don't know if that's true in my case or not. on the other side of that coin, I have heard that some governers will only idle up to 3k, but once they take a load they will go upto 4k. I'm not trying to cause any problems, I just want to know what's out there. Pulled last weekend and at the rpm check my tach said 3k, but their little rpm checker said 2200. so I got it turned up to about 2700 and will turn it up more. I just want to know if it will do it.
Thanks.
