Morning Sid! Yeah forgot to mention about how the Akron pull went. Well, Here is the story. First off, SUNBURNT!!!! Beautiful day to have a tractor pull, nice breeze, 80 degrees in the sun. We started out with the heavy classes, I pulled a 53 Super M in the 7000-7500 farm stock, got 3rd against 15 or so other tractors, I then ran the 6501-7000 farm stock, same Super M, got 4th out of a class of 30. Not too shabby. The track was loose, no getting around it, but there was several who got the sled down into the far end. Local Class!!! That was a good class!! Several of my family members brought their tractors to pull, one of em even got lucky and won the class with his Farmall M, a good story comes from that group of guys,,, they are all neighbors out in that area, 3 of em, each one had a Farmall M to pull,, they walked all over our 53 Super M and did it with style. One of them, was a first time puller with that tractor on weight transfer,,, He seemed pleased with how his M ran. Alot of different outcomes came in the next classes to run, the local boys showed that they knew how to git r done, and beat the pros (sorry Tom!) My next class was the modifieds, 4501-5500 mods, Westville had a Super M that they had been fighting all season, and looked like they got a bug or two out of it when they hooked to the sled, cause no one could get close to em!! My brother in law with his massey 101 edged me out along with a ollie 77 in the second spot, leaving me in 4th place with my 50 Farmall H. The next two classes were the 0-4500 farm stock, and modified class to finish up the day. Judy, on my 53 Farmall Super H, with some carful practice the day before, ended up 2nd place, beat out by a sweet running AC WC. She done a great job, and will be a force to reckon with later down the road, She is still a bit nervous on the tractor, but she is doing great for a beginner. Last class was the lite weight modified, 0-4500. It was a tough round, but my 50 H got it together and won first, brother in laws 101 massey in second spot. We all had a great time, when the dust settled, a reported 175+ hooks were made, and I may be mistaken, but I think that is the biggest turnout so far this year. I never thought so many pullers would show up! Almost ran out of parking space!! We thank everyone for the hard work, and coming out and pulling at Akron, next year we will have a better track a bit more bite in there, just could not keep enough water on it through out the day, but it held up better than I expected. We got alot of photos of the pull, and will post a few on here for ya all to have a look at. Next NIATPA pull is at Crown point, IN starts at 9 am, Im not sure of the weight class rotation,, since we had a cancellation, but will find out soon enough. ChadS

Sounds like an awsome pull! That's a ton of tractors! Our pulls up here in Canada start shortly once first crop hay is done. Almost all of our pullers are full time farmers so the pulls are scheduled around that or they are when the local fairs are on.
