What Case tractors would make a good puller that could be modified in the future? Im thinking of getting into pulling. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im looking to pull 7000# and up no speed limit.Tractor must be mid 1960s or older. Which is better gas or deseil non turbo? Thanks for your help

another thought, if you can run mid 60's stuff. a 970 or 1070, with out turbo, turn the fuel up on the 504 and get alot of power with little expense.

4 cyl Case L and LA can be made to 1000+ cubes. 6 cyl. Case 600, 900, 930 can also go over 1000 cubes. I would stick with gas myself and have always wanted to punch out a 900 Case to 504 cubes. This would be relatively inexpensive and I think with a little intake, carb, head, and cam work would be a 200+ HP tractor.

how fast do you want to go? a 800-or 830 gas, diesel or propane with 301 is very hard to beat in stock, low speed pulls, especially with case-o-matic. you can get ALOT of cubes out of a LA
