I would like to build a unstyled A and need some help. I want to go big but dont want to many problems. What is a good stroke and bore, and what is the price to stroke a deere crank. Does any one run the 6.5 inch long block from jerrys, and is it worth $4100. Also what am I going to run for horse power, will it compete with very hot farmal M"s. Thanks for your time.

A 6.125 power block and a 9.25 crank should be very reliable and make good power. With a good Heisler head, that should make somewhere in the mid 90's for power. In a 3.5mph class you should be competative. In an open class with big Ms, I think the M's will still have quite a bit on you.

As for the block, mine is bigger than a 6.500 Jerrys and cost a he!! of a lot less, but I think his would be more reliable. Does the $4100 figure include pistons/pins/rings? I would stay away from using a Jerry's head on it though.
