Answer is not simple. these dolts think cheating is fun, and the best cheater wins. Smiling with pride as the accept their trophys with half a dozen small cheats in as many areas, none the less, a full bottle of Mustang in 5 gallons of Avgas, with a 1/2 gallon of kerosene to smooth it out. you cant change it. cant legally fine them. kick them out, and then your pull dies. go by the rules in inspecting, and they dont come back next year. So heres one of my solutions.. besides my formula of weight divided by twice the horsepower, multiplied by the distance pulled, leaving a number. highest number wins. Lets say we have a New class.. Antique classes very strictly regulated. Farm Stock by weight, and must be totally useable with no obvious mods for pulling, and Run What Ya Brung, maybe 3 weight classes, only regs are speed and safety. let them openly devise their best pulling devices and systems ANY way they can. Just leave the things out of the JD B all green category. Let the stock tractors pull with any fuel that will burn through a stock carbuerator, and no mods, no hipower block assy, no fancy heads on old olivers, etc. all that fits the Open by weight class. what the heck, you cant beat a cheater, so lets let them do it openly, and while your at it, lets see you do something about beating the 47 Oliver 70 i am building, its got a 1969 Ford 460, with lots of cool toys on it. am paining the engine green, and hope to run in antique stock against your JD B, anf Farmall H.
