Who Cares? The Almost Tractor Pullers Association (ATPA) sucks. The jury`s still out on you.

They can deliberate all they want on me. I could care less. I went for the antique pull, and got the bonus of seeing bigger equipment,, maybe even more famous equipment that a NTPA puller has. Dont matter though,,, still go deaf watching em. Smoke, full pulls, dont matter who the club is. Watch it on speed channel Sept 3rd, 11 pm. Speed Freak show or something along that line,, ATPA puts on a good show. Dont care if the initials are not to your liking. Not my problem is it? Chad

ATPA is a detrement to pulling. They need to be gone. Their shows are slow, boring and just not very good. I`m not knocking any of the pullers, just the crooked SOB`s from ATPA. But you`re probably not capable of understanding that in your little world.

What type of pulling isnt slow? You get an infield full of tractors, trucks, etc etc together for a meet, and then add the sled time it takes to set the sleds up to stop thes machines,, it does tend to bore people. But, then, when they lite the fires and run out th end, it makes up for it. Hurry up and wait is the name of the game in pulling. Any kind of pulling. I hear ya, and not knocking individuals in the ATPA,, me personally, dont like one puller in particular,, but, just cause one is a dork, dont mean the whole group is too. Ive followed ATPA for quite a while, politics, and rules, I think of Leroy Mason and the Down and Dirty IH766 alcohol edition,,, How the diesils kept changing the rules,, giving weight handicaps, cause all Leroy did was "figure it out" And his tractor did not have the troubles that the 3and 4 charger diesil had, and he only ran 2. Now, how in the world is giving a 300# handicap to a diesil tractor, going to help make the diesli match the potential of an alky puller? You know as well as I do that alky can whoop a diesil bout 9 out of 10 times when mixed together,,, Now, I have seen diesils whoop on ol Leroy, Tad Eads, when he had the Indiana Rascal beat him in Evansville, and, the Wild Thing of Kowitskowski, beat him at goshen in the 77 super,, so it can be done,, but at the time,, they both weighed the same, not the alky 300 under anyone else. So yeah, that was crooked,, But, what club doesnt have its little quirks, and excuses to cheat, win, or do it right, problem is,, the ATPA has been around long enough to know how to handle these situations,, but, too dumb to actually make a rule that benifits the entire class, and not favor one type of tractor. Let`s see if I got your point. You`re not an ATPA fan you just deal with them cause they`re there. That about right?

LOL, well, they were there at the same time we were. Id say if I had a choice, Ill stick with antiques and brush pullin, Thats where I grew up, and probably wont ever spend tht kind of cash that a puller would have to spend to be competitive. I dislike NATPA but would probably watch it if one was going on at an event I was attending at the same time. Why? cause its a tractor pull, and just happen to be there at the same time. so yep, just have to deal with it I guess, I mean, I did not have to pay to see the show, so added bonus I suppose. NTPA, ATPA, NATPA, USAP, ETC ETC,, its all pulling to me, tractor hooks up to a sled, makes a pass, same ol same ol. I did not think that the show in goshen went too slowly, I do belive I enjoyed the morning session of the farm stock classes, and the pro stocks, the 2wd were so darn loud, even with ear plugs, I went walking the fair till that class was over. I dont now if NTPA has the Diesil trucks,, but that was interesting to see too! ChadS
