I am pulling a '53 WD-45 with mixed results in Div 2 4500. It did decent with just fluid, averaged around 200' a pull. I swapped to better looking tires of the same size with no fluid and made a bellybar for weights. I run 3 100lb weights to the left, 200 to the right (offset seat) and 2 on the back. Now I average around 150' with a strong tailwind. Will turning the weights around on the bellybar so they face the back help much or does any one else have a different idea?

I run a WD in 3700 & 4200. I run a 210 load on the front most of the time, with the rest on the rear. On a real hooking track my front end still comes up but on a hard track I compensate with tire pressure.

I run two different WD's both that weigh 3500# which is 1000# of weight to put on. In the 4500# I run only 100# of weight on my front weight bracket and the rest on the back. it floats the front wheels but does well. but if at all posible get yours to 3500# class, 4500# is just a tough class to win with 28" wheels. Put all your weight to the back and one up front and I think you"ll do better. Just my opinion but I do pretty well with mine.
