L.W.
I lost in a couple of area's and can't find reading material.
What I want to research are two item's.
1) valve size to cubic inch, and why the oem manufacture (farmall) installed what they did in the 450 gas head.
2) rocker arm ratio (i know what the term means)but my techinacial info needed is how the two work together ! I understand cam lift, but i would like some concrete reading material on the theory's of these components.
Last but not least, connecting rod ratio, since on a build up, ratio is decreased, (assuming stock rod lenght), piston speed is increased, i"ve read many things on ratio, but i not understanding, how they all affect breathing.
i'm either not looking under the rite title's on the internet, or it's just not a novice's question.

what old or new book's offer theory on these subjects.

thank-you for any time or effort reguarding this matter

I am not getting into typing all that here! Look up Isky's cam sight they had in the past a list of tech. articles on rod ratios and there affect on power at different rpm. There was also info on the other area's you are interested in.
