About 97 to 98 pump octane. High octane fuel in a stock low compression engine adds zero HP.

I'm not expert, but I believe there are varying grades. 100LL is around 100 octane, 110LL around 110 octane, etc. I could be wrong on that, though.

100 - 102 Very dry gas, formulated for high altitude. Runs good - smells great burning.

OR you can get 115/145 octane. Makes your pipe burn a really pretty white color. Light it up after dark if you really want to see something pretty....deadeye
