E85 and pump gas. Thats the best fuel you can get for the $$$$$!!! Try it, youll never look back. Ethanol,, there is not much to be known,, not many use it, know much about it. Its mixture is relitive to the compression pressure in your engine. Also depends on make and model as well. ChadS

We run 110 octain in our puller with 225 lbs of compresson. Would like to know more about E-85 as there is about $2.00 difference in price per gal.

Its a low rpm fuel, has to be mixed with pump gas to run correctly, compression pressure determines the mixture percentage. At 225, you can mix 1 gallon of 93 octane, to 1/2 gallon of E85, you could run up to 50/50 mix, but may sound like an alky burner with a huge cam. It will burn cleaner than any other fuel, so plug color can vary, the pump gas will give it the plug color, but will be a light brown in plug color after a workout. Chad

By the time you buy the gas and the additives to jazz it up that much, it would likely be cheaper to buy race gas of the proper octane rating.

You could try adding ethanol. I think it has an octane of 115 but I don"t know much else about it.
