Iam trying decide to use either 15.5x38 or 16.9x34 tires on my W D . Have been running 15.5 38 this summer. I have plenty of power for these. Mybe 16.9x34 would do better, any suggestions from you pro pullers? Thanks Much with any Help.....

We had been running 15.5's and switched to 14.9's a little taller and more sidewall, also heavier. But I am very glad we changed to them, the 15.5 appeared to be so stiff that they wouldn't conform to the track, basically like running a rolling pin across the table. We tried playing with air pressure but couldn't seem to find a difference. So for us the taller sidewall appeared to be better.

15.5/38 is the same height as a 16.9/34, 4" more side wall. not sure how they'd do in a lighter weight class I run the 34's in 5500/up and find they're more picky about air pressure. if you live by the extra sidewall, you die by the extra sidewall. don

Amen large dia rims and short sidewalls win.
