In a five star crankcase, will a (g) crank drop in with the necessary work to main bearing journal diameter? Are their any other problems such as flywheel, and front crankshaft gear size ?

Got a puller in my neck of the woods wanting to put a 7.5" stroker crank in a division one tractor, says he ran into some problems with the (g) crank. Have you ever seen this done !

NOT LEGAL, DID YOU CREATE NEW RULES ON CUBIC INCH, OR DO YOUR RULES ONLY APPLY TO CERTAIN PULLERS.

MAN IT'S GOING TO BE AN INTERESTING YEAR NEXT YEAR !

We dont have the capability to police cubic inch in engines that pull in NCIATPA classes. No one wants to put forth an effort to have a tech commitee. I think,, they should look at existing tractors that are members of the club,,, here is what I mean,,,you have a tractor, that is registered by a number, that number is then used to identify the tractor,, now if you was to look at the membership sheet, you find the number of the tractor, and the division in where the tractor pulls in,, Modified, or Farm stock,,, That ID number is supposed to be for that exisitng tractor for ID purposes,,, Now, how do you identify tractors that have switched divisions,,,, they way NCIATPA has it,, all you have to do is purchase a new ID number for that tractor to throw off the ID. Same tractor, with a new ID number,,,, I dont agree with this,,, All that does is throw off the number of actual tractors in the club, then throws off any scent that inclines that that the "new farm stock" tractor was never in a modified class before. And everyone that sees that new tractor in the farm classes, know good and well that it was formally a modified tractor. Now, if they was to keep the numbers with the tractor,, like they supposed to,, That would fix any intentional mix up,,, and that is how I would interpret what tractor belongs where. Only a tech commitee would be able to make this decision,, but, we dont have that in our club now do we? Now, on the other hand,,,, the search for more pulling power,,,,, Bore em, stroke em,, whatever,,, but who does that make out to be liars,,, the one who is actually farm stock, or the modifieds claiming to be farm stocks,,, Who in their right mind, that wants to become new members in our club, that has a "stock" tractor, that would come and spend their hard earned money,, just to lose it to a former modified tractor? Get rid of the word farm stock in the rules,,, rename the class to Oh, I dont know,,, say Former modifieds who cant hack it in the modifieds class,,, I wonder if that would bring in new members????? No, I doubt it,, probably see Keirns olivers in the farm stock classes,,, yeah,, thats bringing in new members aint it? LOL! Yep, Barenie, your exactly right,,, should be an interesting year. No stop signs, no speed limits,, nobody gonna slow em down! Pandoras box has just been opened, and say so long to "farm stock" Cause it dont exist. Stroked out engines dont belong in farm stock, or whatever we call it. But hey,, who is going to listen to me? Sometimes, I dont even wanna listen to myself when I think about where its going,,,,, Am I in denial??? Or should I Put Something Wilder in the same class with you? Wait,,, ill answer that one right now,,,, No way would I do that to you, or anyone who does it on the up and up. Farm Stock HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!! Yep, interesting,,, very very interesting,,,, Cant run with the big dogs, so they throw em in with the puppies. But hey,,, every dog, has its day. Just remember that. Think about it,,, Whatcha gonna do,, when the true farm stockers,,,, come after you!!!!! !!! and beat ya! Gonna go bigger??? LOL! Naa, just whine and complain,, maybe even make a rule here and there to make ya a winner, the easy way. You bet your tail feathers I dont like what is happeneing. But, atleast, you are being honest, and telling us up front what you bring to the party. A stroked out farm stocker. Hmmm, wonder what Ive got in my bag of tricks I have to combat something like that,,,,, HMmmm,,, maybe a stock cubed Super M???? Maybe a stroked out Super M? You tell me,,,, cause it will be a surprize to all of ya. Bring those modifieds on!!!!! Ya all aint nothing! They could not make em win in the mods,,, so what makes you think they can do it in the Class that pulling, is the name of the game, not how much you spent on it. it just got even more interesting didn"t it ???? No, not really. I dont feel better one bit. The reason is,, that the same pullers that have these modified tractors, are now influences on making rules for their own tractors to make themselves more competitive. See, in our percentage pulling,, the ones with the heavy hopped up mods, that try and pull lighter, cant run with the lighter tractors that can pull well! So, they have been trying to put the light tractors up with the heavy ones on the heavy tractors track. The take the light classes away, force us to run with the heavy tractors, and say here ya go!! Nothing can be done now!! Too late! Same pullers who have the stroked out mods in the farm stock are messing with the classes they have no right to even dictate. Im tired of it! They have been planning it for years,, and so far have fought them off, kept tradition where it belongs from the fore fathers built this club. Now, all of a sudden, throw out tradition of being the only club in northern Indiana that pulls percentage with a weight transfer sled, now its suddenly not good enough anymore. Forget what was the days of old, just cause they cant win. They have to cheat to win in the mods, now they have to cheat to win in the farm stock,,, then gloat about it at the banquet with those trophys the owners of the tractor gave out won by that modified farm stocker!! Oh and Tom,,, if you think that not allowing straight clevises will give you back the advantage over Hoppers M,,,, let me tell ya,, Its not going to make a difference in the world to that M, when its good its good. And its only going to get better. The club should buy us all clevises legal to pull in this club, and have spares to lend out for tractors and pullers who have only straight clevises, so they dont waste the effort of comming, and being thrown out for such an dumb rule change like that. Am I happy? do I feel better?? No way Bud! If they cant fix whats wrong already, do you honestly belive that changing all the rules around for them is going to make it better???? They may as well change the farm stock to division 2 rules, forget the div 1 only for the local classes, and let em run all the modified BS they want. Chad
