I have an 5288 that I would like to get more horse power out of and am currently maxed out on what I can do with it. I have the pump turned all the way up. I am wondering what else a guy can do with out dumping big bucks into an pump and turbo I have tought about getting the adapter plate to mount the inline bosch that the DTI 466's have but am not sure if I can get away with that and still be considered farm stock. Any suggestions will be apreciated

get an eletric fuel pump and put inline to boost fuel delivery to the pump, you can also restrict the return from the pump.

would that involve just cutting the line and putting a valve inline to force the fuel into the cylinders?

normally just take off the return fitting out of the pump and put in an orfice.

Take the delivery valve out of the head and grind off some of that little step on the end of the valve. It looks like washer machined on the needle. Git rid of the washer look a like material. This will make one hell of a difference. I am sure it will bump ya up a gear too. But buy another valve to put it back in the field. But a 13mm head is better but about 1500 at least. Email with further questions

Are you talking about the fuel pump head itself or something else.

Thanks Aaron

The 5488 had the inline bosh pump and the intercooler.Other wise you will have to put a bigger head on your rotary pump 13mil with bigger lines and injectors plus larger turbo.I forget what turbo the 52 has on it. Maybe go with the 3lm466 holeset for pulling their not that expensive. If you go with the enline get the P pump.
