Try to get the head to breathe better,porting,bigger valves.Could pull the sleeves and add the bigger 301 pistons for more cid.Put the later IH midgett injectors in,could put a bigger head on the injection pump 370 like off a 806 pump or use a 806 pump their governed for 2400 rpm.and it bolts right on.

normally this fourm is an ecellent source of info but for the last three days it has been nothing but a big cat fit between two female tractor pullers and either of them will seem to give it up. I'v got a friend of mine going to build a 560 for pulling here fairly soon and he wants to bore the block enuf to fit 806 pistons in the block just to get it out and then he wants to take a 301 combine moter that he has and bore and stroke it for more power.

His is gas, but them diesels can run pretty hard too good luck and let us know how it turns out.
