Andrew & I just got home from IA. Had to dump my load in Des Moines yesterday & bring 32 thousand phonebooks back to Michigan. Had a HUGE time at Sigourney. Didn't expect to see any Michigan boys there, but when we rolled in the grounds 7am Sat., there was Jim B's big truck. Good, least we know somebody now... Guess the biggest thing for us, at least something Andrew will always remember, is that we finally got to meet Dave Wickman & son Dustin. Couple of the finest guys you wanna know. Andrew even got to hook "Double Trouble" in the 4500 Ant. Missed 1st place by something like 4". Says "DT is awesome!". I agree with him... It was nice to go quite aways from home to see a different pull & different pullers. Thinking about doing that more often... You guys in Sigourney have a real good announcer, too - Virg Behrens. Told me he was retired from the IA Highway Patrol. Didn't quite believe it. Told him they don't make them like that anymore... Well, anyway, that was the first time for my new camera. The count is 377 or something around there. Got some bad pictures, but I don't think alot of them. The camera does go thru batteries like they're goin' outta style. Had to back off a little on the Sunday pictures to keep whatever power I had left... Was asked by several people how soon they would be up on our website. That's a tough question to answer. If I had a normal job, they would start going up in a couple weeks. All I can tell anybody right now is to check the site from time to time. They will go up - I don't anticipate any problems at this time... And I can't even download the pictures to my 'puter yet. Takes 6hrs. to charge the batteries - and my camera's dead... Andrew says we're goin' back to Sigourney next year. Guess that means he had a good time there, don't it? Enuf right now... Have a good one... Jerry (aka Amos - high school nickname many years ago - something to do with Jerry Reed & song Amos Moses, or whatever...it's a long story...) & Andrew (can't call him Andy, he'll get mad if you do...)
