I have a neighbor who just bought a Super M Farmall. He was told to run a fuel called C-12 in it. What is this fuel, where can you get it and what is the octane of it? Thanks

If your tractor needs more octane than 94 pump gas, just blend in some toulene or xylene if methanol is a problem. They have an octane rating of about 116 to 117.

Same stuff avalable cheap by the barrel while everyone rushes off to pay for Cam whatever. It's just another version of gasoline like heptane,octane,methyl etc. The refineries blend in the good stuff with the low grade gasoiline or reformulate the low grade gas in a hydrobon tower to convert. Just use a hydrometer while blending with pump gas & mix in methyl alcohol and if it gets too heavy.

I have been running the C12 for a few years.. the place I buy it at has it listed at 108 octane.. but check if for your self.. VP fuels, as a web site with all the products listed..

It is available from VP racing fuels, this fuel has a motor octane rating of 108. I personally believe VP is some of the best fuel available. But your friend may try some other products such as C11 or VP Red. the address is www.vpracingfuels.com in case the link doesn't work.

If you will check your records, Tilley was a thorn in the "BIG BOYS" side every time he traveled west! Do you really think Brooks and Bear would be spending more money to win if Tilley was'nt forcing them to!!! Let's face it, when a little guy like Tilley beats the "BIG BOYS" it's bad for business, NATPA business that is! By the way, I pull against Tilley and he's one of the best competitors I pull against. He actually DQ himself at a pull because he forgot to change his hitch height after pulling another class. No one would have ever known, but that did'nt matter Tilley was on the up and up!

what was he pulling in...the 8500 first then pulled in the 3500 so his hitch was too high for the light class? did he check his hitch height with a specific gravity checker?? yes, tilley, mr honesty....VOTE TILLEY FOR U.S. PRSIDENT! Now if he sold his 88, maybe he can pay all his bills everyone says he owes! tilley was a "wanna be" big boy that never could make it--he tried to be the little choo choo train "i think i can i think i can". i heard he's now going to take up quilting/sowing classes!

On a side note, if you can't post your name you must be hiding something.

I dought he ever pulled anything except 4 4.5 and 5 thousand.

If he got disqualified for being 5 points off on specific gravity then Brooks should have been disqualified for being 2 points off. Thats what I heard but I can't prove any of it.

Unless you saw the check Bear got and the check Gregg got then you are just spreading rumors.

P.S. how many time did you beat the 88.

P.S. keep watching, you'll find out what Greggs next project is going to be.

Everyone, quit pulling, sell your tractors, Tilley has a "new project"! Tilley is Tim Crushers idol and he has warned us all! Tilley is SOOOOO OOOO SMART, a "MASTERMIND"...SO SMART, he's the only one busted for "illegal fuel"! WOW, that's smart! Who cares about his measley 88 getting sold! It's a non-contender, non-factor, it'll be in Div 3 next year! He'll probably build a 460/560 since he always TRIED to be Bill Bear, so he'll follow his footsteps again!

Actually, I don't know Gregg personally, and I suppose you don't either. FYI my father is my idol. He taught me if i wanted to talk about someone i should have the intestional fortitude to do it to their face. (You on the other hand are hiding behind the name of "Oh my gosh".)

If he wasn't a continder then why did he win over
4 top contenders, Oh yeah, if forgot, he is a cheater, master mind, presidential candidate, lucky, smart quilter.

I'm not trying to make anyone hold their breath on what he is building next. It won't even be in NATPA if what i hear is true.

You were close on the spelling but not exactly right. I have used Propolene Oxide and it is a little spendy to use. You mix it at about 10% or 2 qts. to 5 gal. of gas. It does not change the smell of the gas in the raw form. You can tell there is something there after you smell the burnt gas, but usually no one can figure out what it is. It is not suppose to change the specific gravity readings. I'll even tell you where you can buy it. I buy mine out of FRC Racing Products in California and like I said it is a little spendy. About $25 dollars a gal. I can also tell you a little more about it. It disolves gasket sealer, locktite and a few other things that you wouldn't think it would. It is very flamible and keeps or stores best in a refrigerator or walk-in cooler away from food. It has been around for a few years as I was using it in 1995/96. How much would you like??? deadeye

BTW, it is not hard to mix the fuel wrong. 5 points off gets you disqualified but 2 points,, well then you are not really cheating...

I don't know Tilley but why are you guys so scared of him? If you are going to test fuel you should know what your doing. There was alot of talk about how It was done and if they knew how to do it. Only Tilley knows for sure if he was cheating!

High octane fuel & a "mega zapper" ignition on an other wise stock engine is only going to make stock HP. Oxygen bearing fuels such as methyl alcohol is cheap, high octane but corrosive unless drained out after pulling. Jet the carb richer & make some extra easy HP after finding a gasoline/alcohol blend that works.

it is 110 octane, racing fuel etc, about 5 bucks a gallon, good stuff for high compression engines keeps from blowing head gaskets and fouling plugs as bad

I think c-12 is from vp racing fuels. I thought it was 103 or 105 octane and it has lead, I think. I was going to use this a while back and found citgo race fuel was a tad cheaper and more readily available. 110 octane. Also this has lead too.

ETHANOL,ETHANOL,oxygenates your fuel like methanol but is not corrosive, WE use it up here in all our gasoline made from corn same thing as corn whiskey, buy they add a small percentage of gasoline to it so we can't drink it.
