I want to mount a kill switch on my unstyled JD A. I've never used one and don't know much about them. Can someone tell me where to get one and how it works with a WICO C magneto on an A?

Thanks.

The easy way is to pick up a trailer break-away switch at TSC,about 12 bucks one wire to mag termnal and other to ground

It shorts the internal contacts. One side is grounded to the frame and the other side can go to the points. This prevents the points from opening the circuit as far as the coil in the mag is concerned if I understand how the mag works. It still has points, right?

You can use a male and female electric plug until you can find a fancy one.

Crutch,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the mag does have points in it. I'll give it a try.
