Alright John Deere styled G pullers; we need a little info if anyone is willing to share. Will 8" or 8.25" stroke fit into an G without knocking the back out and grinding the cam very much. We want to put one together without a ton of grinding. What are your recommendations?

8.0 G insert rods will work. 8.25 you will have to grind on top of the G rods. 451 Case rods will work better can't really rember but grinding would be minimal.

You can put 8.75" in if you use JD A rods. You will have to grind on the back of the case but not all the way through. You will have to notch the cam out and grind a lot up top. If you use 4020 rods with an 8.75" crank you will have to cut the back out but not much grinding up top. Your 8 or 8.25" crank will fit without a lot of work.
