well moving the came forward or back wards one space help or not, was just playing in the grage with the cam since i broke the gear last weekend and had replaced it and was just wounding if this would increase horse power or degrease it,

Are you running the stock cam or a performance grind? Little will be gained by changing the timing on the stock camshaft. If however you are running a reworked cam with more duration, you will benefit from degreeing in the cam according to the grinders specs. To do the job right, you will need a degree wheel and a dial indicator. You will then set the cam to it's new lobe center spec. provided by the grinder. See archives.

it has a 630 cam in right now, was just playing with the cam friday in the tractor, befor i put the govener back on, thanks for your help,

would like more info on this, tecnical advice , so standing on the flwheel side would you turn it clockwise or counter clock wise, if i move the came one space clock wise it changes the comp stroke bye 1 .750 back when the intake valve closes on the comp stroke,
