I heard from a customer of my day job that there was going to be a pull in Temple and I thought it was this coming weekend. Does anyone know anything about it and if its still on? Thanks for all replies. Caleb

Texas Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Show. HP pull. I assume its still the weighted and non-weighted classes using the Nebraska test lab book.

I dont pull, I dont even own a tractor yet but Im interested in seeing what all goes on there and Im sure I'd have fun just being around all the old iron. The guy that you speak of with the 720 is the guy I know of. He works for a client of ours and he seems to be a real nice guy. He said he lost to a teenage girl outta houston area though :>) Anyway do yall know what time they normally get things started?

Also I have no idea what a pull goes like, is the tractor weighed down at 22000 or is that the sled its pulling and what do you mean by HP? All info to get me up to speed is appreciated. Thanks Caleb

Yes.. its this weekend.. And Yes.. its going to be a HP pull... No weights (but water in the tires is OK.) or as much weight as you can put on the tractor... Last I heard they were using Botlingers sled...
I don't think we're going to go this year... JDGnut

There is a real tough JD 720 that is coming from in between Caldwell and Snook that was there last year. Barely lost to the Monster Popper. I hear he is gonna weigh around 22,000 lbs this year.

It would be nice to see that tractor go to a pull that uses weight instead of HP. Charles
