Running a farm stock JD70LP. Planning a rebuild this winter. Will replacing cam with a 720/730LP upgrade my rebuild? Is there a gain in lift/duration? What are the spec's? What about replacing head with 720/730 LP head? Any gain there?
Thank you

Later G/70/720/730 all have the same lift and duration. A custom aftermarket re-grind is required.

Glen, I agree that an aftermarket grind works better. However, the 720/730 cam is ground entirely differently from the late G/70 cam. Also, the lobe spacing is different as well. Just trying to clarify. Mike

Thank you for the insight. Can you suggest a good aftermarket brand or machine shop? Don't want to go wild, stay dependable, but be competitive.
