I picked up a set of 16.9 x 34 safemark tires with about 3/4 tread, just wondering if these are any good for pulling? and who they are made by?

Tried Safemark part of a season, didn"t work for me but a friend of mine tried them on his tractor and they work great. His tractor pulls 4000 and under, mine is 5000 and up with about 30 extra HP. Don"t know if that helps you or not.

I have a pair of 12.4 38's on my Farmall H and my brother has a pair of 13.6 38's on his John Deere A, both are Safemarks but both are a different tread pattern. They both hook up wonderfully.

A friend had some on a 966 for farm work, they were harder then a wedding prick and he couldn't wear them out on the highway!

Blake, the Safemark tires can be a very good tire if they are old and hard but as a rule they are a slightly softer tire than others, with the exception of an Armstrong/Titan tire. They were sold through Farm Bureau and were made by General. Hope this helps. Mike

Got a friend running some 15'5x 38's on his Super 88 that wears me out on Farm Stock. If you pulling in that class and low gear and such I think they will be fine. If your getting into the Open classes and stuff I am not so sure they would be the best but I don't think they would be bad...
