Stewart Warner makes a digital tach that is very acurate and easy to view when pulling. Summit or JEG'S have them. Anolog tach's don't like the vibration of a pulling motor and makes the needle do funny things.

There are several offered by VDO that read 4000 rpm. Many have hourmeters as well. They offer the Series 1 and Industrial/Marine that look OEM on a vintage tractor. I will be using a VDO 333-353 4000 RPM with digital hourmeter in my slightly updated MF65.

VDO Tachs usually run around $65 for non-hourmeter and $120 with an integral hourmeter. Make sure to get the low RPM model. SummitRacing.com has lower prices, but limited availability. Egauges.com has more models, but higher prices.

Let's go Mountaineers,

Aaron
