sorry to jump on your post, but whats the deck height on a D17? How far down in the hole does the piston stop in a stock motor? You are the same "preacher" I hear about that builds allis stuff right? Hate to think I got the wrong guy... thanks, AC

AC that preacher is down in my neck of the woods, he has quit antique pulling and is helping his son run a muti- engine modified. with 3 blowns big blocks, I heard they had a ruff time last year learning how to play a new game.

i had the opportunity to talk with the preacher about allis tractors and he and his son know there stuff about allis pulling tractors. we saw the modified tractors and the allis ones he pulls. i heard he sold the wc pulling tractor he had.

Sorry to dissapoint, but I run a Masey Harris 44, and never really fooled around with any Allis's. Might try the Allis board. Sorry I can't help
