Are Firestone 151's the same as the Traction Field and Road tires. I went to the Firestone website to see what is all available and I couldnt find anything that referenced to a 151.

Scotty, a Traction Field and Road will still say "F151" on it and it appears they are made out of the same mold as the All Tractions with just the "All" blocked out. But be assured, they are NOT the same tire. The later Traction Field and Roads are a softer tire and also a lighter tire. The carcass and sidewall is not as thick as the original ATFR. The TFR's are still a decent tire but are not of the quality of the old All Tractions. There simply is not as much rubber in them, size for size. Mike

I have 14.9X38 Field and Road Firestons. Says Gum Dipped next to a Firestons logo. What does that mean and how do these tirs fit into you classification of Firestone tires? Good or bad?

The "Gum Dipped" means it is an older tire. Several folks have told me that they think this is better because of this but I imagine most of the benefit is simply because the tire is older and harder, not to any specific benefits of this. Firestone tires had this on the sidewall for years and years and no doubt when the marketing people thought it no longer carried any weight they removed it. My opinion. Mike
