How much are these new powerblocks that Murphys is making? I want one for a 39 B.

If someone is making blocks, they must be making pistons. Any help in that department?

Not sure i understand your question. As much as you can fit. Depends on your pistons, how far you shove the pistons into the block, how much work you want to do in the crankcase, (crank has to clear the camshaft, top of the case, oil pressure head, back of the crankcase, etc). Not sure how the block would be your limiting factor on stroke.

On a B, it's pretty easy to get 7"
at 7.5" you get pretty rough on the back of the case
at 7.75, it gets rough on the cam, the top of the case, and the back of the case.
Above 8 it gets real hard
And much above that you have to get creative.

Murphy's can make pretty much any size piston you need.

I don't think he's making them for a B's.. at least not yet... but there's a few rumors of someone else casting the B blocks...
