I RUN 15.5'S ON MINE,HAD GREAT LUCK WITH 45 DEGREE bars, about 3/4" tall, for the last few years.Just changed to a set of Firestone 15.5's 23 degree, verdict still out after 2 pulls, but doing good. One thing some people overlook,A bigger tire has least pounds per square inch to the ground then a narrower tire.

NOT KNOWING YOUR SET-UP I SAY THIS. POWER TO THE GROUND STARTS WITH WEIGHT, AND HOW IT IS PLACED. HITCH LENGHT? HITCH HEIGHT? IF YOUR NOT PICKING UP THE FRONT, YOUR NOT HEAVY ENOUGH ON THE HITCH. TIRES ARE YOUR LAST DECISION. YOU CAN MAKE GREAT PULLS WITH ALL TYPES OF TIRES. LEARN YOUR BALANCE AND PLAY WITH THE HITCH HEIGHT.

My set-up is hitch is set at 20 hieght and 18 from axle, i have 16.9-34 safemark tires with about 7/8" lugs, tried differnt air pressures has worked best with 7.5 psi in the 5500-6500 classes at 3.5 mph, as for weight i usually have it so at middle of pull front is about 3-6 inches up and at end its about 6-10 inches up, give or take of course, ive just notice most the tractors that are beating me have only about 1/2" to 5/8" of lug if that. any tips would be great!

I like the 14.9-38 Titan Hi Power Lug. However, if they will let you run a bigger tire, go for it.

I have seen great success over all brands with armstrong tires, they seem to wear the best and wear sharp.
