I have a 37 Unstyled A that I am going to build. Have heisler head for it. Now on the block, can be bored .250 over and run stock crank.
Or can i just bore it .125, and put in late model a crank and rods. Or can I bore it .250 and put in late a crank for more stroke. All with using heisler head, or is this to much?
Any and all suggestions welcomed.

Here is some old school tricks for your unstyled "A". Find yourself a set of standard bore model 70 GAS pistons and bore your block to 5.875. Stroke the crankshaft and lengthen rods to bring pistons up to and around spark plug. With the Heisler head and a 8.75 to 9.25 stroke you will have an "A" that will get peoples attention. Heisler manifold with either a late "A" GAS carburetor or a big nut "G" carburetor will be work good. Late model "A" stock camshaft is all you will need for a cam. Tractor will run 75 to 90 HP if tuned correctly. Have Fun, DW
