Mopower,
Can you explain how to post screenshots from a CAD program as a jpeg?

Thanks!

I am not sure what program you use, but I position the solid as shown, and go File, Save As, and choose .jpg as file type instead of .ipt, .igs, .prt, or .stp etc.

Would you mind posting the spacing between bolts? I have some material to build some but don"t know the dimensions etc. I"d appreciate it.

Cheers!

Sid

It is to my understanding that 9-bolt pattern is 9 holes equally spaced on a 9.5 inch circle. The rim centers seem to measure a 7.75 inch hole, although some older MM use 7.5 inch.

How are you going to hold the disk square with the ID of the pipe? They look kind of long. Is there enough room to get a wrench on the u bolt nuts? How much will they weigh?

The water cut disc will be held square with the OD for welding, then faced (and mounting ledge created) when the hub ID is clamped to an axle stub in the lathe.

The CAD perspective view setting makes it look longer than it is. It will be shorter than an M&W hub. The design still requires some trimming.

Spacers may be used under the tall nuts for wrench placement although there will be socket clearance built in.

I have not accurately calculated the weight, but estimated 40-50 pounds each, putting it under M&W.

Keen eye Metal Maker! You obviously know your way around a machine shop. I am trying to keep machining costs to a minimum, although not a machinist by trade.
