Which gives you more pulling power? Water in the tires or cat iron wheel weights?

Billy Bob fluid in tires is great, but if you plan to compete with the tractor you need to be able to shift weights around. If for the farm I like fluid in tires, but for pullin I would use the weights. Gman's two cents worth

At our pulls in South Florida we have 2 classes. Cut tires in Antique class and Uncut tires in Stock Class. In stock class we cannot use hanging weights but can use bolt on wheel weights. We use bolt on weights to change weight classes. I was wondering if anybody had compared how a tractor would pull with water in the tires compared to using bolt on weights to get to the same weight

Wet tires have higher rolling resistance. The "rigidity" from a "filled" tire rides rougher & can't flex to follow the ground contours as well as a dry. Less mess if the rim spins in tire & yanks the valve stem out.
