Local guy just put one together. Intake is stock downdraft, exhaust is custom header w/2 stacks. Oil filter is moved from original location up to where the gas tank was. Steel plate is where filter was on the block, and tapped for hydraulic hoses that run to/from the filter. He used the stock filter base and made an adapter plate for the hoses, but you could get a filter base from NAPA with a screw-on filter that would be easier to intall and service I'd think.

Didn't think I'd be that impressed with it, but he ran 4th gear in 9500 on a tight track at a pull on Monday and didn't lack for power a bit (jumped out of 4th @ 2/3 track so probably some issues that will need addressed in the rear, but man did it run up till then!)

What kind of oil pressure did he run? The pressure regulator is in the filter base on those engines. If it didn't run too much pressure I'd like to see how he relocated the filters. (I really don't want to bulge the side shield one I'm building).

I used the filter housing off of a 715 combine as the remote filter housing. Its aluminum, so its lite. It has bypasses built into it just like the rd, you just have to run a bypass return line back to the plate on the engine. Mine runs between 25-45psi. Seems to work good.
