I just bought a 560. I have a DT 466 sitting around as well. What's the next step. I scrapped the M idea. What has to be done to get the 466 in the 560?

The last Farm Show magazine had an article about someone putting a 414 or a 436 in a 706. Since the 706 and the 560 used the same original engines and 414, 436, and 466 are all the same block there might be some good information there. I think the magazine has a website try googling it. Lee

You need to find a adapter plate and flywheel from a tractor that has the same bellhousing size and flywheel size as the 560. You can use the larger flywheels, but the starter won't work. Also, alot of the newer flywheels use a different style of starter ring gear, so you'll need to install a ring off of an m or 560 onto the diesel flywheel.
