HOW RISKY IS IT TO BORE JD ;R; FOR 730 PISTONS? HAVE HEARD BOTH 730 AND 830 PISTONS, WITCH IS BETTER? USE THE TRACTOR FOR A LITTLE PULLING AND PARADES. OLD FAMILY TRACTOR DON,T WANT TO BLOW IT UP. THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE.

the .375" overbore will work just fine as long as you have later block .the early block can be identified by having water jacket around sleeve below block mounting surface.If you are really worried have it sonic tested . the 730 pistons will give a little more compression ratio than the 830 piston. Either will work but 730 piston is probably the better choice. Paul
