Check to see how the hook count differs from 15.5 to 18.4 tires. One of the club officials should be able to get that information for you. I think your club should accomadate the higher count.

On another note I think they should look at low class counts and drop some classes from the schedule. They have so many classes the days are too long. People are burnt out before they see the classes they want to see and they leave. Think about starting earlier or on Saturday mornings. People might start coming back!!!
