I was curious if it was worth going too. They used to put on quite a good pull when they held in Columbus Ohio, But since they started having in other places I haven't heard a lot of good things about it. Was just wondering what other pullers thought.

You need a 4000# class. Too big of a jump for a 3500# tractor to jump to 4500# and remain competitive. Whole different group of tractors in 3500 vs. 4500. Likely many guys with 3500# tractors won't come, due to only getting one good hook. Then you'll see the numbers are down for the 3500# and think it's due to a lack of tractors in that weight... Just my thoughts.

I AGREE WITH JD PULLER. I DON'T GO JUST BECAUSE OF WHAT HE SAID. ADD A 4000 POUND CLASS AND THERE WILL BE ATLEAST 12 TRACTORS IN 3500 & 4000 CLASS.

I too would like to see a 4000# class as I am thinking about going. I read the rules and it says that the larger tractors like Oliver 88, G John Deere's and Farmall M can not pull below 4501#. I take this as they will have to pull in either a 5000# or higher class where they belong and not in the 4500# class where they do not belong. Is this correct for "all" divisions? If it is I might consider coming with my 3500# class tractor and make my second hook in the 4500# class. But if I am going to have to donate my second hook to bigger class tractors I will stay home with my small tractor. I guess I need to call little Joe and find out for sure. I used to like to go to the Dekalb pull but have not been there for many years.

Was there two years ago. Great facility, saw old friends that I don't routinely get to see. Had a scheduling conflict last year but do plan to attend this year.

I think that you had better clarify yourself when you say "due to poor club management". If you"d like to discuss it more, my email is open. The only reason that it is not in Columbus anymore is that it got to be too expensive.
