Had the exact same problem on an R I built for a guy several years ago with the same components. The 730 injector tips are not sticking far enough into the combustion chamber on the R head and are not atomizing the fuel.Remove the coppers and put the injectors in for a test run without them.I had to grind the injectors down so they would fit.Let me know.

NO AIR CLAENER HOOKED UP YET. THE INJECTOR TIPS LOOKED THE SAME ,SHOULD I HAVE DONE SOMTHING OTHER THAN NEW COPPERS?

Alan the injector tips On a R are tapered starting at about 5/16" and going to about 3/16" maybe a bit less the 730 tips are basically straight at about 5/16". in order to get injector to seat in correct position. you either need to drill head out or grind injector tip down like the R tip. I have heard of doing it both ways I just drill head out.so it is like the early 70-720 80-820 heads.wher in SD are you? I am in the south west part near MartinPaul

first off check your air supply.and or maybe eliminate air cleaner to double check that .next did you drill head out so injectors seat down .dumb question I know but forgive me. next is rack moving correrctly? paul
