What can be done to John Deere 730d to add horsepower and still do a little farm work? What horsepower could be expected with a little work?

Yes you are correct, I'm sorry. What did I think I was doing talking those topics on this site.
It's all about buidling an engine to 3-4X over factory HP and still calling it stock.

All 720's had 13mm pumps, the service manual has a note not to use the pump calibration for the 70D because they used the 10mm pumps.

By larger pumps, I'm talking custom built internal parts to make a factory 13mm pump a 14mm. The injectors have new tips with larger holes for more fuel flow. Factory tips for 720/30 have a different spray angle (140deg), compared to the 820/30 (160deg).

You didn't mention the condition of the big engine. If it has been overhauled you can add more fuel with larger injector tips or even larger fuel pumps. A dry air filter conversion helps too.

Can get 70-80hp depending on if you do injectors or pumps along with injectors, and still do your farm work.

You don't need to add power. The three most important factors to look after first are traction, traction and traction.
Put the tractor on a dyno and see if it's making rated HP before trying to soup it up.
How deep are your pockets?
What class are you pulling in?

Now now B&D, you know it's not right to talk "stock power" or "traction" on this forum. How dare you?
