Captainhookerus wins 6750 7mph Jackpot. (CONGRATULATIONS) Made me first loser. HA! HA! Dale, crew and sled operators did their usual fine job. Track was sandy, but I am told that next year we will get a new 300 foot clay track. 5500 DIV IV had 7 pullers, with three regular pullers being unable to attend. Things are looking better for DIV IV.

I really wanted to pull div.3 4500,4750 and 5000, we got the head sealing problem solved but didn't have enough starter power,I have a gear reduction unit in the works, maybe next year. Thanks to Captainhookerous for letting me use your tape measure! We had a good time watching and enjoyed talking to some of you, only wish I knew everyone there!

Re Lost weight in reply to 5 Star General, 03-23-2008 18:00:42
Kenny and I were leaving about 7:30 or so after the pull. There was a 75 lb. IH weight leaning along the wall in between the scales. I took it over and laid it next to the west scale. I think that scale belongs to Clay. Everyone was pretty well gone and the sled guys were packing up. Try calling Delmer Rathje in Shleby, NE or Dale Nelson in Malcolm, NE. Clay Drenth is from somewhere in IA I think. They might be able to hook you up with your lost weight. Hope it helps. Jeff

Old age and deceit with a lot of luck will over come youth and enthusiasm every time.

Man oh man, that Captainhookerus is some kind of puller. First of all he tells everyone how he won't be able to get out of last place then takes two (2 mind you) first place finishes then when I get home he's in the Hook Magazine again. Sitting there talking to Carroll. Wonder if he's trying to tell him how bad it is before taking a first in Wichita.

You guys are great, had a good time, but then the NATPA folks are always a good time.

See you all in Columbia.

Jim
