I have an F14 that ran about 2 years ago and I try to either start all of my tractors or at least turn them over before winter sets in and in the spring time. I got behind on doing this and now the F14 and my Case VAC are now stuck. I noticed when I cranked the F14 over it went about a half a turn of the crank and that was it I tried to pull it forward and reverse and can't seem to brake it loose. I have put penetrating fluids in the cylinders and let it soak for about 3 months and still STUCK. I would hate to start pulling pans and heads off but I may have to. thanks for any ideas.

have you checked the clutch? Mice may have something jammed in there. It's a long shot but easier than than pulling a head.

Jason,
I have not checked the clutch, But when I pull it I will let the clutch in and out. When the clutch is in it rolls free, when the clutch is let out of coarse the wheels just slide

What have you put in the cylinders?? I will only use tranny fluid and or a mix of tranny fluid and turpentine. So far I have had only one engine that hasn't popped free doing this and thats out of say 20 plus engines

I would love to see your recipe/formula for stuck engines that SteelHorseFarm mentions. I have a Farmall 100 with a stuck engine.

Thanks
Terry B

All I use is a 50/50 mix of turpentine and tranny fluid. Fill the cylinders put the plugs back in and walk away for a few days. Top it off every few days and also every few days hit the starter button of course make sure it has a good battery.Watch the crank pulley when you hit the starter button, if it mores any then pull the plugs and keep hitting the button with quick hits

hobby farm,
thanks for the formula,I used PB penetrating catalyst which does a great job of loosening bolts and nuts. I also used diesel fuel.how long did you let that set?

That all depended on which ones. I have had them pop loose after just a few hours and the others took a month or so. I've got an H that I did that to and it was llose in about 4 hours and it now purrs like a kitten. But I also have a MH-30 that had to sit for a month and its now loose but when it popped loose one valve broke. I have way to many tractors by the way, something like 30 of them and a few are pictured in the web site
