Gas or Diesel? Per Intertec: gas: there are 5 bolts on 1 side, 9 on the other. Standing on the 9 bolt side, number the 9 bolts from left to right: 13, 9, 7, 3, 1, 4, 8, 10, 14. Still standing on the 9 bolt side, number the 5 bolts from left to right: 11, 2, 2, 6, 12. Tighten in number sequence. 95-100 ft-lb. Manifold and rocker arm brackets 30 ft-lb. Diesel: there is one row with 9 bolts outside the valve cover and a double row, each with 5 bolts, inside. Standing at the 9 bolt side, left to right on the 9 bolt outside row : 17, 12, 8, 7, 3, 6, 9, 13, 14. Of these, the first one is next to the valve cover, then next one is away, etc. On the double row, left to right, still standing on the 9 bolt side. The inner row (closest to the center of the head) : 18, 5, 4, 15. The outer row (next to the valve cover gasket rail): 19, 11, 1, 10, 16. Torque is 95-100 ft-lb. Timing hear housing to cylinder head - 4 bolts, 25-30 ft-lb injector stud nuts 12-15 ft-lb water pump 20-25 ft-lb injector lines 20ft-lb Others as above. I'm not looking forward to rebuilding my 430 diesel. Thank heaven it's the wife's tractor and she'll probably insist on a REAL mechanic.
