I have a 48 8n that was running fine and then quit. I have plenty of gas but no spark at the plugs whatsoever. I have replaced the distributor cap, coil, plugs, points, and condensor. Not a thing has helped. I still have no spark at the plugs. Please help.

If you"re still not running, watch the rotor while someone cranks it, to make sure it"s turning; if not, you"ve stripped the dist gear or broke the dist shaft. They can stick and feel solid but not be turning. Good luck.

Do you have power at the top of the coil?? You may have a bad ignition switch or a wire has burned in 2

I do have power to the top of the coil. The wire seems to check out fine.

You may have a bad coil or when you put in the new point/condenser you may have shorted out a wire in the distubutor. Its very easy to short or the wire from the condenser to the points

Recently run into a non starting non sparking 8N that turned out to have bad insulator on the breaker plate in the distributer, where the points and condensor screw is. New breaker plate and runs fine.

Finally got it running. Only thing I can figure out is that it was the condenser grounding itself out. Thanks for the help. I wouldn't have got it without you all.
