is the carb leaking from the plug on the bottom of the carb or is it leaking out of the intake where the air comes in ? if leaking from the drain plug check closely for a crack in the carb body casting. if its ok then just use some teflon tape on the plug threads. bill m

as old said either the float or needle and seat are good place to start on gas leaking out of the carb intake opening. bill m.

Pretty common problem with tractor carbs. Thats why most people say to turn off the gas when your not useing the tractor. If it has a rubber tipped float needle you might try this. Open it up, remove the float and then drop the neelde back in the seat after makeing sure the saet is good and tight, can be the problem also. Then take a punch etc and tap on the needle a couple times. What that does is sets the tip to the seat.
