We have a Hinny E-23, and it is time to replace the oil filter. What would you recommand? Is there a certain brand that is better then the others?

I definitely prefer Wix for my tractors. A couple years ago there was one Mopar guy on who had his own web page(don't have the address anymore). He did his own home comparison of oil filter for almost all brands. A lot of people were sending him filters to help out and he posted all the results on the web. He cut apart new filters and compared the materials, filter media, Area (square inches) of filter media used, construction technique, housing construction etc. He also did some testing with used filters. The results that came out were that Fram was the worst and that Wix was the best. Fram filters are used by many other companies and repainted with their logos. The Wix is sold under their name at some places, buy also Napa filters are Wix. Second best filter was AC Delco, especially for the cost(best value).

I agree with Brad-bb. I worked at an auto supply store a few years back and we had a display with different brands. We didnt have any Napa filters, but the AC-Delco and Wix filters seemed to be better and more robustly designed. Actually they looked almost identical. The Fram filter was kind of dissapointing looking.
