My mid/late 1950's International 300 Utility is carbon fouling plugs badly. A new set lasts maybe a month. Cleaning helps but the more you clean them the faster they seem to foul once you start. I am running Autolite 3116 as is reccomended by all charts I see. Is there a range or two hotter and the same size as the 3116? I don't care too much about brand loyalty, so long as they will run hotter and burn off the carbon. I should say that I use this tractor a lot in the summer to cut wood (about 6 chords a year) - I have a hydraulic wood splitter on the back - and I exchange the wood splitter for a back blade and plow snow aprox. 10-12 times in the winter. So she is work tractor not a parader. But I need a slightly hotter plug that will not harm the engine. Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

I just cross referenced it online and it looks like it does but I haven't had any experience with them. I hope the hotter plugs works for you. Good Luck!

AC Delco C87
This is the same size and is a hotter plug. It made a big difference in my 450.

Thanks Harlen. Does the AC C87 cross to a Champion D-21? My local Napa stocks the D-21 but not the C87...
