I purchased a ford tractor that was painted orange form the factory. It spent its life working for the local school board, I wanted to restore the tractor. For resale value should I paint it orange or blue and grey? If orange what code # paint should I use? Thanks Donnie

Well if its a true fram tractor then blue, but if industrial then probably yellow. I"ve never seen one painted orange or at least not a ford

I may be wrong but the tractors bought on state contracts were painted orange from the factory. I have seen several state and county tractors and equipment painted this way. Should I go with orange or blue?

I think you're right. Indiana used Ford tractors painted orange for many years. State purchase contract probably specified orange. Local municipalities in some states were offered the opportunity to purchase vehicles and equipment under the state purchase contract. I don't know about Ford, but to this day, John Deere will sell a tractor painted "community orange". If Ford did that, then there must be a paint spec number somewhere. Give Tom Armstrong a call. He might know.

Thanks for the information, who is Tom Armstrong? Where can I find sheet metal parts? I can find the side panels but not the bottom nose cone or the top nose cone for a 2000 ford. Thanks Donnie
