I found a good use for my engine stand. I am repainting the fenders on my 860 Ford and I wanted to do both sides and I paint better while the parts are horizontal so I bolted them to the engine stand and they can be turned over to be able to paint both sides. Did a set for the Z Moline also.

My preferred way is to hang them from a wire. On my ford fenders I put a small bolt through a hole and wrapped the wire around that. I do have the advantage of a spray booth and I installed hooks in the ceiling for hanging wire to hang parts. Here is an examble of some GTO inner fenders:
