There should be a serial number and the model number stamped in the frame on the engine's distributor side. It sounds to me that you are trying to describe a Cockshutt 30 because of the 8 speeds. It is older than 1957. J.

Any ideas about this Co-op? in reply to J. Schwiebert., 10-21-2006 16:39:19
Don't fret about the odd operator's platform, with the steering wheel at the back. It was "farmerized"... reversed, with a loader mounted at the back.

The faded decals on the hood say "Co-op".

Any idea where the model and serial #'s would be, and which manufacturer made this series for the Co-ops?

That appears to be a CO-OP NO.2. The model and serial # were on a plate that was mounted under the instrument panel. Some one must have removed it when it was "farmerized". They were manufactured in the late 1940's and early 1950's. If I remember right they were manufactured in the Minneapolis-St Paul, Minnesota area and were mostly wheatland models. I do have some manuals of the NO.3 which was a little larger tractor which used basically the same design.
