Is there any reason that I can't remove the glass fuel bowl/filter and run the the line directly out with a inline filter?

If your haing trouble with the sediment bowl, you may need to clean the tank, otherwise your wasting time as the inline filter will plug up. Take your tank to a radiator shop and have it boiled out.

Why in the world would you want to do that?? The sediment bowl is there to catch not olny dirt but also water in the fuel system. Plus it lets you see the water and or dirt. As the other guy says you need to correct type of in-line filter or it will cause you more trouble then worth

There is no reason why you can"t do that. Just make sure your inline filter will work with a gravity feed fuel system, lawnmower filter etc. A filter for a car etc. will not work because it is designed for a pressurized fuel system. If I am not mistaken there is also a small screen filter located inside the carburator.

Hope this helps.
