One sleeve on my 2N ended up in the pan ,in small pieces.I would not like to have a new one do that. What about oversized pistons without sleeves I don't think this one will get worn out again.

Slightly oversize sleeves are available, or just use Loctite high-strength retaining compound when you install the new sleev(es). Not a chance of the sleeve going anywhere with that stuff!

Some people did run mercury pistons bare.. but when that bore gets hosed.. then what? Your stuck hoping you can overbore and go back with a custom liner.
