farmall H, 1950, i just replaced the ignition coil because it stalled after running for a short time and now it runs great until it is running for awhile and then overheats to 210 degrees and then stalls, it should be 180 degrees right!!! why is it now overheating, do i need to replace thermostat, if so, where is it, is ignition of timing, or what else could be wrong, it runs very smooth when it is first started

Had the same problem with an M, I figured it was a blown head gasket, but I took the water pump off and adjusted it and after that it was fine.

In your case, I would check the water pump and the thermostat. Be sure to replace the thermostat with a 180 degree one, don't just throw it away or premature wear and engine damage will result, along with poor fuel economy. If you take the water pump off there is an adjustment as to how far the impeller is away from the casting itself - if it's too far away it will not circulate water properly. When you put the pump back on use some sealer with the gasket, they like to leak.
